What is Life Mastery?

There are two sides to this coin. I call them the Inner Game and the Outer Game.

The Outer Game is the external circumstance of your life. This includes the cultivation of nourishing relationships, enough money, a fulfilling career, and a healthy body. This is what most people focus on; yet we are not often taught the tools which will help us reach our goals. The Outer Game explores ten practices which will be useful for an entire lifetime. These are the habits associated with peak performance and goal achievement.

  • Crystal Clear Clarity…..Knowing EXACTLY what you want
  • Commitment….Not to the goal, but to working through your resistance. Embracing the suck.
  • Consistency….Making small moves on a daily basis, known as the 1% Solution.
  • Foundational Habits…..establishing a support base of health through exercise, nutrition, sleep and a morning routine.
  • Intentionality….Focusing on actions that move the needle rather than time-wasters.
  • Power of No….saying no to what you don’t care about to free up energy for what you do.
  • Reclaiming your Attention….From what? Phones, emails, youtube, netflix, weed, alcohol, etc.
  • Boundaries…..Teaching others how to treat you. Creating a zero tolerance bullshit zone.
  • Meeting the Dragons of Resistance…..Working with your self- saboteur.
  • Follow-Through and Accountability…….Learning resilience, perseverance, and never giving up.

The caveat to mastering the Outer Game is that your success may not fulfill your deepest cravings. That is why it’s so important to practice the Inner Game. This is how you move closer to Inner Peace, Freedom, and Unconditional Love. If that is what you crave, it is to be found inside of you, not in external circumstances or people.. The Inner Game consists of 10 tools which also can be used for a lifetime, endlessly deepening your fulfillment and evolution.

  • Presence….Cultivating the ability to “be here now”, rather than mind’s obsession with past and future.
  • Self-Awareness…..Observing your emotions, stories, and body. sensations without getting sucked into them.
  • Owning your Pain…..We all carry pain within. Learn to meet it and release it without self-medicating or acting it out.
  • Gratitude…..This is God’s language. It is a necessary mental framework which affirms abundance.
  • Integrity….The art of aligning our actions with our values, so we act from wholeness.
  • Self-Inquiry…..Examining the beliefs that extricate us from victim mentality.
  • Generosity…..Cultivating this habit because it brings joy and affirms abundance.
  • Self-Forgiveness….Learning the secret of Self Compassion to silence the inner critic.
  • Core Trust…..Exploring how we can trust ourselves, as well as the universe.
  • True Rest and Relaxation….Resting into the true source of nourishment, rather than vegging out.
